We will be opening from 9am – 7.30pm on all 3 days of the event (Saturday 28th August 2021 – Monday 30th August 2021). We are operating pre bookable 1 hour timed entrance slots to manage the arrival of customers to site.
We have engaged an independent Traffic Management company to manage the flow of traffic arriving to the festival. They have worked with the festival team, local authorities and Blue Light Services to produce a comprehensive plan that has been agreed by all parties. They will be onsite on the lead up as well as throughout the event implementing these plans, managing everything on the ground, as well as the festival carparks. Details of these plans are as follows:
Traffic Lights: We will have traffic lights on the junction of Bark House Lane and Lane Head Road (A635) on Saturday 28th August and Sunday 29th August. These will be operated by licensed operators. These will be in operation from 8am – 9pm.
Speed Reduction: Due to the above traffic lights, there will be a speed reduction in place on the A635 in order to safely operate the traffic lights.
Road Closure: New Road in will be shut along the red line on the below map on Saturday 28th August, Sunday 29th August and Monday 30th August between 8am – 9pm. This road closure will be fully staffed to allow for any emergency vehicles to move through this area. Please note, Cannon Hall Garden Centre will be unaffected by this road closure, please access from the south. The red line below shows the length of the road closure.
Cannon Hall Farm: Cannon Hall Farm itself will be closed to the public on all 3 days of the festival. The Farm Shop will remain open. If you wish to use the farm shop, please access via Bark House Lane access road into the lower car park.
Start Date: Our festival team will arrive on site on Monday 23rd August to start the build of the festival. Deliveries arriving to site will have traffic marshalls to ensure the roads surrounding the festival are not interrupted.
Cars: We have undertaken studies to the capacities of the road network surrounding Cannon Hall Farm and have taken measures to limit the amount of cars on the road. All customers have been allotted time slots for arrival based on these. All car parking must be booked in advance by customers attending the festival. This has been communicated at the point of purchase, reminder emails, as well as visibly printed on customers tickets. Customers will be given directions on how to access the event in advance and will be directed away from Cawthorne Village and Jebb Lane.
Shuttle buses: We are operating a customer shuttle bus from Barnsley Interchange on all 3 days of the event. This will make a number of stops enroute to the event and terminate in Cannon Hall Car Park (opposite the Garden Centre). Due to this, capacity will be limited within this car park.
Cannon Hall Estate: If visiting Cannon Hall Estate over Bank Holiday Weekend, please do not park in Cawthorne. Non-event customers are welcome to use the shuttle service to access Cannon Hall Estate. The cost of this service is £1 per person. The stops and times for the Shuttle Bus are:
Please note the event will not be viewable from Cannon Hall Estate, or any of the fields surrounding the festival site. We have offered a 25% discount on tickets for local residents for either Monday or Full Weekend general admission options should you wish to enjoy the event.
Signage: To support the event and traffic routes, you will notice event signage. These will start being deployed approximately 2 weeks before the event. These are not advertising boards, they will be directional signage only. If you notice any are damaged, please let us know on our customer email.
